Caring For Birds

To bring your bird home, you will need a suitable cage for it to live in. This should be of adequate size to house the bird into adulthood. Your new bird will also need toys to keep it occupied in its cage. A mirror is a good idea, as this makes them believe they have a friend in their cage. Many birds also like swings, which also gives them a little exercise.

Birds eat a mixture of seeds and nuts and bird food can be easily purchased from pet shops, supermarkets and garden centres. It is recommended you also buy food sticks to hang in the cage to provide your bird with essential minerals along with hours of entertainment.
